The Gumbo is still on as scheduled.

If you have monitored the weather news today, you know that a tropical storm has formed off the Louisiana coastline. As of this evening it is moving inland close to the Louisiana Texas border and will likely make landfall late Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. From all indications, it will travel slightly NW after entering the coast and then turn NE moving into North Louisiana and Arkansas. That's the way it appears as of now. In the Baton Rouge area, we are predicted to get a rain event out of the storm. Since the Gumbo is contained in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, there should be no problems. This area should not have any flooding problems. It appears that the heaviest rainfall will be much further east of the Baton Rouge area.

We are sending this message just to let you know that the Gumbo is still on as scheduled. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Be safe in your travels to Baton Rouge.

Sincerely,

Ann, Charlie and the Gumbo Team
